Job Description
- Creating and modifying detailed drawings for infrastructural projects using CAD software.
- Designing blueprints for new infrastructure projects, including structures, pipelines, roads, and bridges.
- Working closely with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and translate them into practical, usable CAD designs.
- Converting the designs of engineers and architects into detailed technical drawings and plans.
- Reviewing and revising CAD drawings to ensure they are accurate and meet necessary technical and safety standards.
- Generating 2D and 3D models of structures for visualization and project planning.
- Assisting in the calculation of materials and costs associated with project plans.
- Keeping all CAD drawings and related data updated and well organized.
- Collaborating with the project team to solve design and construction issues.
- Using CAD software to simulate infrastructure projects, identifying any potential design problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineer (Civil) or Bachelor of Architecture
- Proven experience as a CAD Designer, preferably within the infrastructure sector
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar
- Good knowledge of construction and engineering terminologies
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical diagrams
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team and meet strict deadlines
- Associates degree in Drafting or similar field
